The society
The Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society is successor to The
Society for the Restoration of Brimstone Hill, which was founded in 1965. Brimstone Hill
Fortress National Park is managed on behalf of the Government and people of the Federation
of St. Christopher (St. Kitts) and Nevis by the Society.
The Society is a voluntary organisation registered as a non-profit company. The
Council of Management makes all policy decisions. Day-to-day operations at
the National Park are led by the General Manager and staff.
The Society’s mission is to preserve, interpret, and promote Brimstone Hill as a place of
outstanding historical, cultural, and architectural significance. Through membership,
donations, and partnerships, the Society funds restoration, education programmes, and
public access so that present and future generations can experience this UNESCO World
Heritage Site.
