Research
Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park supports academic research and welcomes scholars and
students with an interest in the history, architecture, and significance of the site.
Research areas
The fortress and its context offer rich opportunities for research in military history,
colonial and postcolonial studies, the history of slavery and emancipation, architecture
and engineering, and heritage management. The Society is keen to support work that
advances understanding of the site and its place in Caribbean and world history.
