Accessibility

We are committed to improving access for all visitors. Brimstone Hill is a historic site
with uneven terrain and steps in places. The following information will help you plan your
visit.

Terrain

The fortress is built on a steep hill. Paths and ramps vary: some areas are paved or
compacted, others are grass or stone. The climb to the citadel involves steps and slopes.
Comfortable, sturdy footwear is recommended for everyone.

Visitor centre and museum

The main visitor centre has level access. Restrooms and the museum exhibition areas are
accessible where the historic layout allows. Staff can advise on the best route for your
needs.

Parking

Parking is available on site. If you have specific access requirements, please contact us
in advance and we will do our best to reserve a suitable space and advise on the most
accessible route from the car park to the main areas.

Contact
